You don't write because you want to say something. You write because you have to say something.

About A.C.

Hello!

I don't want this about page to be written in the third person or written by someone else, so instead, I'm going to, personally, give you some insight into who A.C. Miller is. I swear, I don't normally use that many commas in a sentence.

First off, my name is Alex Christopher Miller. I go by A.C. when writing because it sounds better and because Alex Miller is quite generic. I hope the A.C. adds a little punch to my style. If not, that's cool, too.

Anyways, I began writing when I was in elementary school. Back then, it was just humorous little stories and assignments for class—nothing worth anyone's time. It wasn't until high school where I finally realized that my penchant for writing fiction could be something I pursue full-time. However, I wrote off most of the teachers who realized this talent. Probably because I was a naive high schooler who just wanted to sleep, eat, and repeat forever.

Eventually, I was told to never stop writing by one of my college professors and it was at that point that I finally realized maybe everyone who had told me to write, wasn't lying. Maybe those people were onto something, something I was too blind to realize myself.

It wasn't until my sophomore year at the University of Northern Iowa when I started my first unnamed novel. I finished it by the time I graduated, but slowly realized that it wasn't very good. It was more of a test run at the whole novel game.

Eventually I shelved that project and started Nimbus. Honestly, the whole story never would have amounted to anything if my wife, Emily, hadn't encouraged me to pursue the idea. Three years and 47 trillion series of edits later, Nimbus was ready. It released on Amazon CreateSpace on November 22nd, 2017.

The sequel, Halcyon, later released on June 18th, 2019.

Lastly, the final installment, Umbra, released on June 29th, 2021.

With the trilogy complete, I’m turning my focus to a Neo-Noir detective novel set in 1946. However, unlike The Perfect Circle Trilogy, this will be a standalone book. After I complete that, who knows what’s next in store. I have plenty of ideas, so I can tell you the writing won’t cease.

If you want to know anything else about me, feel free to head over to the “Contact” page and I’ll respond as quickly as I can!

Also, you can find out more about my novels on my "Books" page.

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you enjoy Nimbus, Halcyon, and Umbra.
